Tranquila

Set within a 1920s building overlooking the Arabian Sea, TRANQUILA is a 3,000 sq ft home shaped by restraint, natural light and a deep connection to its setting. The design listens to the building — its proportions, its age, the sea beyond its walls — rather than imposing anything new.

At the entrance, a black-and-white radial ceiling sets the tone: graphic and confident, yet quiet. A single room was carefully opened up to frame a generous view of the sea and the surrounding trees — a moment where the house exhales. The study was placed here, turning everyday work into a contemplative ritual with morning light, parrots’ calls and the rhythm of the coast.

Muted sages, soft neutrals and oceanic blues run through the interiors, grounded by earthy textures and handcrafted elements. The lounge — the emotional centre of the house — is anchored by a round table designed for slow conversations, shared meals and family gatherings. Nothing competes for attention; everything belongs.

The result is a home that feels relaxed rather than styled — where the architecture, the views and the rhythm of daily life are allowed to complete the story.
