The project
Tucked along the coast of Marve, these intimate beach cottages are shaped by the land, the light and the rhythm of the sea. Every surface responds to its setting — rough white plaster holds the coastal light, while jute, cane, kilim and carved wood bring warmth and texture indoors.
Textured walls, woven rugs, linen, cane and timber run through the interiors, each material chosen for how it ages and how it feels. Seating is built in rather than brought in — long masonry benches dressed with white bolsters read as part of the structure itself.
Sunlight moves through the rooms throughout the day, and doors open on both sides to the garden and the water. The bedrooms keep the same discipline: white walls, white linen, one kilim for colour, and a door to the trees. Nothing is added that the setting doesn’t ask for.
