There is an effortless sense of calm to this Delhi farmhouse — a quality that comes from restraint, generous proportions and a deep connection to the surrounding landscape. Deep portals of exposed brick frame each room from the next, the only rough material in a house otherwise held to pale stone, herringbone parquet and cream upholstery.

The interiors are intentionally understated: sheer curtains to the ground, seating built around windows rather than walls, and a palette that lets the garden do the talking. Set pieces appear sparingly — a row of carved figures at the fireplace, a folding screen in mottled green, a group of large pots gathered under a brick arch — each one placed to reward attention without demanding it.

Beyond the rooms, the landscape becomes an integral part of the experience. The lawn is visible from almost every room, tall doors at the end of hallways read as portals to the trees, and the boundary between indoors and out is kept deliberately soft.
